Walter Alza (Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Metropia, Gangster Exchange) has taught hundreds of actors for years in class and in private sessions at Alza Acting STudio and at Equity Showcase. He teaches all over Ontario and overseas giving conferences and workshops and is frequently invited as a guest speaker and moderator at the Toronto Actra Conference and various Film Festivals.
Walter was introduced to the world of entertainment at the early age of five. After moving to Canada to further his career, Alza has earned over 250 hours of screen time as well as more than 40 films, television and theatrical credits to his name. However, while Alza is mostly known for his Leading and Character work, he is also an emerging Canadian director. His first film Redemption, Tears and Trains, garnered him critical acclaim from the media. Since then Alza has created his own production company which enables him to write/produce and direct films that address the ethnic diversity of the Canadian voice, allowing it to be heard at the global level. Walter has won the Reel World Trailblazer Award and The City of Toronto Award: prestigious and exciting honors exemplary of his hard work, determination, perseverance and recognition as a leading male actor and artist. Walter also produces and teaches.

And join us at After party at MINK Night Club in Toronto. P.I.F. (Pay in Full?), which is rated 18A, is a gritty, moving and timely story about the horrific scams that are perpetrated by unethical salespersons, or Piffers against people of often modest income who have the burning desire to put their children (or themselves) in show business as models and actors - at any cost. A con like you never seen before. The mid 80's saw the birth of a new generation of Con Artists, known as 'Piffers'. They don't just steal your money-they steal your dreams. Driven by sex and greed, Piffers pose as talent agents, preying on the hopes and dreams of aspiring actors and models, desperate for the promise of fame and fortune. After a bad run Sonny your average guy is in desperate need for a job to support his family. He begins to work at the agency, not knowing what the future would have in door for him. He is now confronted with making a choice staying at the agency making lots of money, getting whacked, keeping a lover or losing his family, or quitting? P.I.F. was released nationally on June 1, 2010 on ROGERS VOD/Pay-per-View as well as eight other networks across Canada. PI.F explores this serious subject matter through the media of film for the first time, and juxtaposes the shattered dreams of the piffers against the complex (and equally tragic) lives of the piffers. In the tradition of David Mamet, Alza is a stunning story-teller, who holds nothing back. His original script of P.I.F.incorporates a deep understanding of the human condition, as well as a healthy dose of sex, greed, drugs, love and lust (sprinkled with the a trip to the seedy underbelly of organized crime!). P.I.F. - Pay in Full promises to be another highly original, exceptional and important cinematic experience from Walter Alza and Alza44 Films. When: Sat, July 24th, 2010 Cast and Crew is free but you still need to get your ticket. Many of our students have gone on to star in films, plays, musicals, even write, direct and or produce their own scripts -some have been produced and or direct by Walter Alza. Alza is so proud of the development of some of his actors, that usually when he goes to cast any of the films that he is involved in he ends up casting them. Believing in creative collective collaboration, he doesn’t just preach it, he lives it.
